Makenzie + Tucker’s Wedding | The Carolina Barn | NC Wedding Photographer

Makenzie + Tucker are some of the sweetest people I have ever met. I actually cried quite a bit while editing this wedding album because of how genuine and effortless their love is for each other. Sometimes I get weepy while shooting weddings, but it’s almost like I get to re-live those moments in a new way when I begin to work on the gallery. I stare at each frame for several minutes to tweak and adjust it to fit my style of editing, and when I do that new things will come up for me that maybe I didn’t see or experience when I was behind the camera. And that is something I love so much about this job!

These two had the most beautiful day for their Carolina Barn wedding! Although it was VERY hot for October (probably in the 90’s), the sky was a gorgeous blue and we got the most amazing light for their bride and groom portraits. One of the things that stood out to me when we first arrived was that the bridal suite matched the color’s Makenzie had chosen for their wedding palate! It made for beautiful detail + getting ready shots!

Additional favorite moments from the day were as follows:

When Makenzie & Tucker read the letters and opened the gifts that that they had prepared for each other. Makenzie got Tucker a leather wallet with a sweet message to him inside, and some cuff links as well. He gifted her a beautiful gold bracelet, and the cutest little beverage kit I have ever seen!

THE FIRST LOOK!!! I mean, UGH. Just look at his reaction to his beautiful bride! Makenzie looked absolutely breathtaking and seeing them get lost in each other for a quiet moment before the ceremony was just so precious.

Those joyous “just married” smiles during their sunset portraits after saying their “I – Do’s.”

Makenzie’s dad giving his speech. He had lined up a series of shots (in mini solo cups–the best) so that he could take one any time he got choked up or nervous. This was so sweet but also absolutely hilarious.

The father daughter dance. The two had a “normal” slow dance before breaking it down to a coreographed bit that the crowd went CRAZY for!

THE. DANCE. FLOOR! I don’t think the DJ played a SINGLE slow song other than for the first and last dances. Their guests had the best time and broke it down for hours. I think you can tell from the images that they were all having an absolute blast and didn’t want the party to end!

Mr. + Mrs. Bachman, it was such an HONOR to be a part of this day for you. It’s so clear that you two were destined for each other and I am so excited for you two to begin the greatest adventures together. I can’t wait to see what life has in store for y’all and to stay friends for years to come!
