Oh, these two!!! They are the most precious. I was absolutely thrilled that I was able to connect with Juliana + Austin for their engagement session. I hosted an Instagram giveaway for an engagement session several months ago…and Juliana happened to be the winner! Our schedules didn’t align until October, but I am so glad we waited for the cooler weather. Engagement sessions are just so perfect in the fall!
These two traveled to Wilmington from Raleigh for their session, so we were a little worried that we might get rained out. We did have a backup plan (which they were SO COOL about and down for anything), but I am so glad we decided to move our beach session to the early afternoon so that we could beat the rain. Juliana + Austin told me that they never take any photos together and that they were worried about being really awkward in front of the camera. And I have to say, SO many of my couples say the same thing. But 100% of the time they end up looking absolutely amazing because all they need to do is interact with each other and be themselves! I just guide them along the way and we have so much fun together. I couldn’t believe these two were ever even worried about it because they were so natural and loving with each other and it made for the sweetest images!
They also brought their new puppy, Mila, who was the cutest girl! She reminded me so much of our dog Wrigley when she was a puppy, so I just have such a sweet spot for rescue dogs. 🙂 I loved getting to know this couple and to hear their story. They are both nurses and working on furthering their careers in school, and I love that because of that they are taking their time with planning their wedding. When brides and grooms first focus on their future marriage and then take their time to plan their celebration, it makes for such a stress-free experience. I’m so happy for them and can’t wait to see what God has in store for them. I know their big day will be spectacular because they are!
