It’s very rare that I schedule sunrise portrait sessions in general, especially engagement sessions. It’s definitely so much harder to get out of bed and make yourself look awake at that hour of the morning! Plus, many of my brides opt for professional hair and makeup which normally cannot be scheduled that early. However, any time I DO get the chance to shoot in the morning, it is always SO WORTH IT! Something about the morning light is just…different than a sunset. It also brings kind of a softer, cozier energy if that makes sense. I just love it…especially here on the coast!
When it came to Savannah and Hunter’s engagement photos, unfortunately, we didn’t really have a choice. We originally scheduled their session for a Thursday evening, but it happened to be FREEZING and rainy/snowy…so that was out of the picture. This sweet couple was in town only for a few days because they live full time in Florida! So we had to squeeze their session into their time here and I am actually REALLY glad that we rescheduled for a beautiful morning shoot because it was amazing.
Savannah and Hunter first met their freshman year of college but officially started dating around two and a half years ago. Hunter proposed at one of their favorite places–Disney World! At the Top of the World Lounge which is even more epic. They’re definitely one of those couples who look at and think, “yep, they go together.” From the way they interact and look at each other to the adorable images we got of them snuggled up together…we had the best time that morning!
Their wedding day will be extra special because it will be my first one back in action after baby! I cannot wait to meet more of their family and friends and watch them say “I Do” at Bakery 105 this October!
Oh these are so beautiful! Loved them all. How do u choose which one to use? Thanks for sharing!
