Bride Rides Her Horse Down The Isle – Farm Wedding in Cameron, NC

So, I originally blogged this wedding one year ago on my old website. And since I was forced to re-start my blog when I launched my new website, I knew I had to re-post one of my FAVORITE weddings ever! And what a better time to do it than Natasha and Tim’s one year anniversary?!

If you know me, you know that I grew up riding horses (and I was OBSESSED). So as soon as Natasha (the bride) contacted me about photographing their wedding and told me she’d be riding her horse down the isle, I was SOLD. I could not wait to get behind the camera for her special day!!

The wedding was on Natasha and her fiance Tim’s property in Cameron, NC. I had never even heard of this town before, but OH MY GOODNESS. When we arrived onto their farm, we felt like we just traveled to another country. There were rolling hills of green pastures, and the most beautiful barns all around. It actually took my breath away.
As we walked into their immaculate barn, the horses were in the isle with the florist and the braider doing their amazing work on them. They put their manes in braids with roses in them, and gorgeous floral collars around the horse’s necks. While it was a beautiful work of art to us, the horses definitely would’ve rather (and tried to) snack on them. Although we had to dodge some storms and decide last minute to hold the ceremony outdoors, the rain held off just enough for Natasha and Tim to make their nuptials and ride off “happily ever after” on their mounts.

Following the ceremony, everyone headed inside their beautiful home for champagne and cake. But to the bride’s surprise, Tim had put together a special performance for her. Tim grabbed his guitar and played and sang “Wild Flowers” to his new bride. His family, friends, and the string quartet all joined him in song–and it was quite possibly one of the most special moments I’d ever witnessed. Not to mention, his grandmother (who was 100 years old–WHAT!?) made a beautiful speech by reading a poem. Words seriously can’t do this wedding day justice. But I do hope the photos we captured can still give you at least a glimpse of the joy, love, and beauty that the day held.

Happy One Year Anniversary, Natasha and Tim! Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your big day. It’s truly one that I’ll remember and feel honored to be a part of. I hope you can cherish these photos forever!
