Talk about engagement session outfit GOALS! I will forever be obsessed over Sara and Tyler’s more formal look that they chose for photos at Fort Fisher. That dress though…it was just fabulous! And I loved the contrast of a black dress on the clean, bright beach.
We had so much fun celebrating their engagement during their January session! I always love asking and hearing about the proposal and how it happened. These two got engaged the week before Thanksgiving because Sara always said she didn’t want a holiday engagement. It was super smart on Tyler’s part to do it this way…because the next day they had plans to have forty-something people over for a “Friendsgiving” but that turned into being able to see all their besties to celebrate the big news!! One of Sara’s friends asked her to come over to give Tyler some time to get everything ready to pop the question. He lit up the porch of their home with beautiful string lights and had flowers in hand. She came home to find him standing there waiting for her as he asked for her hand in marriage. Ugh–just the sweetest!
Unfortunately, I am going to have so much FOMO for their early September wedding day at one of my FAVES (Old Homestead Farm) because their wedding date is only a couple weeks after I will be giving birth to our baby this summer! But I am so grateful to them for trusting me enough to have my incredible friend, Anna, step in for me to shoot their big day. I know it’s going to be incredible and I cannot wait to live vicariously through their wedding photos as I edit them. 🙂
