Emily + Wesley | Carolina Beach Park Engagement

This was another engagement session that got pushed around a bit due to the COVID outbreak. We had to do some rescheduling, and think of some alternative ideas for a location as well. Ultimately, I am just so happy it worked out at all! We ended up finding the most beautiful spots and had such a gorgeous evening with the best, most romantic light. Our original plan was to use Fort Fisher, but most of it was still closed, unfortunately. However, the very end of it was still open and we started off our session with some fun shots near the sound and ferry! After that, we headed to Carolina Beach State Park which ended up being just as beautiful.

Emily + Wesley met back when they were only 13 or 14 years old. And they’ve basically been together since then! I know I say this with every middle school and high school sweetheart couple I get to work with…but it truly never gets old! The fact that they quite literally grew up together, and stayed in love through ALL of life’s seasons and challenges, is just such a beautiful thing!

Another fun aspect of getting to work with these two is that they are friends with two of my other couples as well! It’s so much fun when I get to work with brides and grooms who know each other, and sometimes I get to see them at each other’s weddings too. 🙂

Emily and Wesley, you two are the absolute sweetest and I am beyond honored to get to continue celebrating your engagement and to be a part of your big day next spring! Here’s to an amazing year and a stunning spring wedding in 2021!
