I should have started this series a LONG time ago, but I have finally had the time to sit down and begin blogging again! With that, I plan to showcase my sweet Milestone Mamas and their families as we wrap up their collection experiences. First up is Kelly + James!
Kelly and I went to high school together, so it is always really neat when I get to serve those I have known for that long as their family grows! I remember being SO excited when Kelly shared the news that she was pregnant and that she and James wanted to document the whole experience through the Milestone Collection. We set up their announcement session for December and it was one of the cutest/most creative I have seen! Their last name is “Rainwater,” so they decided to make it a rain-themed shoot with umbrellas and the teeniest, most adorable little yellow rain boots. And of course, their pup, Zoe, had to be included in her little yellow raincoat too. 🙂
For the maternity session, Kelly + James traveled here to Wilmington so we could shoot on Wrightsville Beach. It was a bit of a grey, overcast day but I actually love how it made the images so creamy and clean looking. She still hadn’t shared what baby’s name would be, but she pulled a Taylor Swift Easter egg with the necklace she wore with the first letter of baby’s name on it. 😉
Then it was time for the GOOD STUFF! Sweet Avery Claire made her way into the world a few weeks early, and she is the absolute sweetest little thing. I told James and Kelly she was one of the best “behaved” newborns I have ever had for a shoot as she pretty much slept and snuggled for the entire thing. We got some absolutely precious shots both in mommy + daddy’s room and in the gorgeous nursery they put together for her.
After all of our sessions were complete, we designed their heirloom album which is now underway in production! I can’t wait for this sweet family to be able to flip through the story of Avery Claire for the years to come. Thank you so much for being a part of the Milestone community, Rainwater Family!
