When you’re welcoming your third baby, life is full — full of love, full of movement, and full of tiny hands and sandy feet. This beach session with dear friends was such a beautiful reminder that newborn photos don’t have to happen indoors to be meaningful.
With no nursery quite finished and the reality of life with three little ones, they chose the beach as their backdrop — and it couldn’t have been more perfect. No stress about tidying the house or chasing light through the windows. Just the breeze, the waves, and space for the older siblings to explore while we eased into this new chapter as a family of five.
A Calm and Connected Newborn Session — At the Beach
The sounds of the ocean, the golden light, and the open air worked their magic. Their sweet baby girl slept peacefully for most of our time together — lulled by the rhythm of the waves. And while she cuddled in her mama’s arms, the older two ran and played, snuggled close, and made sure their baby sister felt wrapped in love.
What I love most about outdoor newborn sessions like this is how effortlessly everything unfolds. There’s no pressure to pose perfectly or keep everything quiet. Everyone just gets to be, and I get to capture the truth of this fleeting season — the way mama instinctively cradles her newest little one, how dad’s arms seem to hold the whole family together, and the pride glowing from two brand new big siblings.
