As I write this post, I am currently 34.5 weeks pregnant and having trouble finding the words to describe how quickly this pregnancy has gone. I would be lying if I said it hasn’t been a really difficult time in my life, but it has also been one of the most beautiful times. When we […]

I was always someone who was a little skeptical of maternity photos for myself. I wasn’t sure if I would feel comfortable taking them or if that I would feel they were important. There was always a part of me that worried I wouldn’t be confident in my growing and changing body enough to dedicate […]

This was another engagement session that got pushed around a bit due to the COVID outbreak. We had to do some rescheduling, and think of some alternative ideas for a location as well. Ultimately, I am just so happy it worked out at all! We ended up finding the most beautiful spots and had such […]

This was the very first session I shot since the beginning of the COVID outbreak this spring. I had gone about seven weeks without a single shoot, since I was not legally allowed to operate as a “non-essential business.” But eventually, I got permission from the state to begin portrait sessions again safely, and I […]

Hannah and Clint’s wedding fell during one of the most confusing weeks ever. It was the very start of the Coronavirus outbreak happening here, and the “rules” and information was changing from one day to the next. While a lot of my other couples had weeks or even a couple months to decide on how […]

THESE. TWO. I just love em!! From the moment I first spoke to Kayla and Chance on the phone for our initial consult, I knew we were destined to work together. Talk about an “ideal client”…they are exactly that! So kind-hearted, fun to talk to, caring, and all about focusing on what matters most for […]

It’s very rare that I schedule sunrise portrait sessions in general, especially engagement sessions. It’s definitely so much harder to get out of bed and make yourself look awake at that hour of the morning! Plus, many of my brides opt for professional hair and makeup which normally cannot be scheduled that early. However, any […]

I feel so blessed that living in Wilmington has brought me so much knowledge through the connections I’ve and the people I have met here. So much so that I have been using many of these products since long before I ever got pregnant. Upon moving to this special city, I was connected with […]

First off, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Being engaged is just the most fun, sweet, and exciting time ever. And I am SO PUMPED that you will have the privilege of having this sweet time documented. For most people, a photoshoot can be very intimidating. Unless you’re a professional model, most of us are not used to getting behind […]

One of my biggest passions (aside from photographing couples in love) is educating other women in photography and/or business to follow their biggest dreams. This is why I started The Prosper Workshop! I’ve hosted three workshops now, and each one has continued to get even better and has filled my heart a little more with […]

MEET CHELSEA

In my 30 years on this earth, I have learned that life can be hard. Pregnancy is tough. The unknowns of birth are a little scary. Being a new mom can feel so isolating. But all of these things are simultaneously some of the most beautiful things we can experience. And community + support is EVERYTHING.

I've held many different roles throughout my adult life from fitness professional, to wedding photographer, to podcaster, to birth doula. Through it all, I've realized that I simply love helping people (a true ennegram 2). My heart is full when I can capture your joy, create connection, make you feel less alone, or celebrate your story.

wife. mama. photographer. educator. doula.

hey love!

I'm Chelsea
